Mission Statement And Complaint Policy

Our Mission Statement

1. Advocate Transparency In Government
2. Advocate Freedom Of Speech, Freedom Of The Press And The Right To Privacy.
2. The Refutation And Analysis Of Anti-Science, Pseudo-Science and Crank Ideas; Essays On Right Wing Authoritarianism And Religious Fundamentalism.
3. To Help Foster A Secular Society Based On Science, Inquiry, Reason And Humanist Values.
To oppose and supplant the mythological narratives of the past, and the dogmas of the present, the world needs an institution devoted to promoting science, reason, inquiry, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the fundamental human right of privacy and humanist values. WikiLeax is that institution.
At WikiLeax, we believe that evidence-based reasoning, in which humans work together to address common concerns, is critical for modern world civilization. Moreover, unlike many other institutions, we maintain that scientific methods and reasoning should be utilized in examining the claims of both pseudoscience and religion. We reject mysticism and blind faith. No topic should be placed off limits to scrutiny—certainly not fringe science and religion, which have an enormous influence on beliefs and conduct.
We also maintain that values are properly the subject of study and discussion as much as empirical claims. WiKiLeax studies and promotes human values based on a naturalistic outlook. Ideological doctrine and religious dogma have no more right to dictate our moral norms than they do to influence scientific research.

Complaint Policy

Complaints - what we do about them

The only people who would be expected to complain about the contents of this site are those whose beliefs or practices are criticized or exposed by the information here.
My ISP and I receive the occasional complaint about this site, and I suppose I would be disappointed if this were not so. Anonymous complaints are ridiculed, laughed at, mocked and ignored. Complaints from real people are read, filed, published on this site and ignored unless evidence is offered of inaccuracy in something appearing on the site. Letters from lawyers (there has only been a very small number of these) are photocopied, read, filed, published on this site and ignored, again unless evidence is offered of inaccuracy in something appearing on the site. Details of Cease & Desist orders or any other requests by lawyers for the removal of content from this site are submitted to my attorney.
I could not ignore a court order, just as I could not ignore winning $20 million in the lottery (a much more likely event). Of course, anyone initiating court action would not want to have called me rude names, otherwise they might look a bit foolish to the judge.
I have no desire to publish inaccuracies, but unless it can be demonstrated that something is clearly in error material will only be removed from this site upon the direct instructions of a court having proper and enforceable jurisdiction. Please note that the policy here is to NEVER settle without going to court, and any legal action will be given wide and embarrassing publicity. Do not threaten legal action in the hope of getting a reaction favorable to you in advance of court proceedings or you will be disappointed. No threat against this site has ever made it into a court!
People who want to waste their time complaining to government regulatory authorities about any of the DebunktionJunctionDotCom or WikiLeaxDotNet sites should contact the French data protection authority (CNIL - Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés. Our servers are currently in the US, however they are in the process of being moved to France where the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés has jurisdiction.
